   Seeing as this had mostly positive reviews I purchased it. I saw the negative reviews but was hopeful that it would work out. When I received it I expected to go through a huge instruction manuel, but it was a very quick and easy fold out paper. I plugged it in and literally just pushed a button. First I used just water and it didnt do to much. I then tested it out with just a few drops of dish soap as others had recommended. It did really well, especially on my watch because teh water turned black and the watch band was so shiney. Just he soap and water cleaned my wedding ring fairly well and there was good sparkle. I then used a small amount of jewelry cleaner concentrate with the hot water (remember to use hot water it does make a difference). My wedding set looked like it had been cleaned by the jeweler. My mom even came over to test it out and her wedding set turned out just the same and her watch got really shiney with the jewelry cleaner (again black water with the watch). I just got it but as of right now I couldnt not be happier. My mom said it was even better than hers. Hope this helps you make your decision. Is made really well also and does look nice on the counter, very quiet too.
